 Interview with a 2nd grade   Hi! Can you tell us what you like most about Dhora Leka School?  Student “I love Dhora Leka because it feels like a second home! Everyone is so kind, and my classroom is full of drawings, books, and happy faces. I feel safe and excited every morning when I come to school.”   What’s your favorite subject at school?  Student “I really love Reading and Art. In Reading, we get to discover new stories and imagine adventures. And in Art, we make colorful paintings. Different open school hours.

Different open school hours. In our school we do many open school hours with different subjects such as :  "Gjuhe Shqipe" "English" "Mathematics" "Physics"   etc. In these open school hours students learn and show new things. They discuss with each other about the lesson and interpret it.This way, students learn easier and better in the presence of  entertainment . Down there , we attached some photos and moments with our students in open school hours. Below the photos there we described which was the lesson and what we talked about in the open school ours.   Here is a mathematic open hour . Students learned about fractions with everyday examples like cutting a pizza in slices, biscuits etc. We took this picture while doing a Gjuhe Shqipe open hour and one of our student in the first grade is showing us the days of the week .Isn't it impressive? An open hour of Physics did a really good job on teaching students how magnetic fields work.      ...

  Anti - discrimination activities. The topic of these activities is " Anti - discrimination activities " .The objectives are to teach students in our school to say no to discrimination. Our students learned the ways of getting discriminated and how to stop them . The ways of discriminations we taught them are : Racial Discrimination Gender Discrimination Age Discrimination Religious Discrimination Disability Discrimination National Origin Discrimination Language Discrimination Socioeconomic Discrimination Appearance-Based Discrimination. On the other hand , we taught them the ways how to avoid them. By the way we start educating them about discrimination since grade one. The ways how to avoid types of discrimination are: Educate Yourself and Others   Learn about different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.   Awareness reduces ignorance and fear, which often cause discrimination. Promote Inclusion   Create environments where everyone feels welcome and respected....
